Education Material

The educational materials provide educators with images and activities for the classroom before and after the visit or in place of a visit if students are unable to tour the gallery in person. The education materials meet APS standards 2, 3b, 4, 5, and 6B by developing students’ capacity to describe art, understand art in historical contexts, build vocabulary, and analyze, discuss and interpret Contemporary art.

The education materials include:
• Downloadable PowerPoint presentation (also available as a PDF) with images and label information for the artwork in the current exhibition
• Curator’s statement, when available
• Vocabulary terms
• Discussion questions for the classroom
• Hands-on activity or art project for the classroom, when applicable
