This exhibit and reception event focus on the everyday experiences of immigrants and inhabitants that describe New Mexico’s border imaginary. Featured stories cover themes of immigrant/refugee identity and experience, enforcement and separation, sovereignty and (Indigenous) border town realities. The public discussion features testimonials from participants and borderland poet Jessica Helen-Lopez.
