The background for this piece is a ceramic plate with edges decorated in a floral pattern of three delicate clusters of pink roses and deep green leaves. The artist has added brighter leaves in shades of yellow, blue and green to each cluster; their edges are angular and less delicate. The leaves added to the upper right cluster are elongated and extend into the artist's profile rendering of an anatomical cut-away of a human head, showing grey brain, green and white eyeball, pinkish sinus cavity, red inner mouth, peach throat and yellow larynx. A spiky ball of orange flame appears to have materialized from the cut-away's lips, and in the center of the flame ball is five-pointed crown rendered in yellow-gold, orange and black.
